How to Use the Pedigree Chart Templates in Creately

  • Choose a template that suits your needs

Pick a pedigree chart template that fits your purpose, such as a genetic pedigree, a family ancestry chart, or an animal breeding pedigree. Click 'Edit This Template' to open it and start mapping your family line.

  • Sign in or create a free Creately account

Create a free account or sign in to open the template in the editor. This lets you save your pedigree chart, return to it later, and keep every change synced to your workspace.

  • Open the template and customize it

Replace the placeholder content with your own individuals and connect them across generations.

  • Collaborate with your team

Give others view or edit access, gather inline comments, and resolve them without leaving the canvas. This works well for students, teachers, researchers, and families building a chart together.

  • Export, share, or present

Export your pedigree chart as PDF, PNG, JPEG, or SVG, present it live, or embed or link it in your reports, assignments, and research notes.
